The ScreenCloud Canva app lets you display a Canva design directly on your screens using its Smart embed link. Any changes you make to the design in Canva are reflected on screen automatically, so there's no need to republish or re-upload anything.

Setting Up the Canva App
The Canva app can be added to a Collection.
Adding via a Collection
Go to Collections.
Select the Collection you want to add the app to, or create a new one.
Click the Apps tab, then Add app.
Select Canva from the list of apps, then click Create.

Getting Your Smart Embed Link
Open your design in Canva.
Click Share in the top right corner.
Select More, then click Embed.
Click Embed again to generate the embed code.
Copy the Smart embed link. It must start with
https://www.canva.com/.
Your design must be set to public before it can be embedded. Private designs cannot be displayed with the Canva app.
How Slide Count Works
If you only want to display some of the slides from your design, set the Slide Count. This counts from the first slide, so a Slide Count of 4 shows slides 1 through 4, then repeats the cycle from the start. Choose a number between 1 and the total number of slides in your design; entering a higher number will cycle through the slides incorrectly and repeat some more often than others. Leaving Slide Count at 0 will only display the first slide.
Click Save New App once you've configured your settings.
Showing the Canva App on a Screen
The Canva app is added within a Collection, so it reaches a screen when that Collection is assigned to one.
Open your Collection and select the Screens tab.
Click Connect a screen to see your available paired screens.
Select the screen you want. The Collection, including your Canva app, will begin playing there.

FAQ
I made changes to my Canva design. When will they show on screen?
If the app instance plays alongside other content in a Collection, changes reflect within a minute. If it's the only content assigned to a screen and shows just one slide, refresh the screen to see the update.
Can I display a private Canva design?
No. Your design must be public for the Canva app to display it. If it's switched back to private, it will stop displaying on your screen.
Will video or audio play from my Canva design?
No, videos will only show a play button rather than autoplaying, and audio will not play on slideshows. To include working video, either download the presentation from Canva and upload it to ScreenCloud's media library instead, or split your Canva slide in two, upload just the video to ScreenCloud, and play it between your Canva slides in the same Collection. For audio, download the presentation from Canva and upload it to ScreenCloud's media library instead.
Why aren't my slide transitions playing as expected?
First, check that Slide Count is set correctly. If it is and transitions still aren't playing smoothly, this may be a hardware limitation. See the Chromium limitations for BrightSign, Samsung Tizen, and LG webOS Signage hardware.
Why does my Canva design display fine in a browser but not on my screen?
This is usually a browser compatibility issue. Some digital signage hardware, such as older Samsung Tizen, LG webOS Signage, and BrightSign models, runs a built-in Chromium browser too outdated to render Canva content. Why isn't ScreenCloud or Canva loading on my work network?
