You can upload a PowerPoint presentation straight into a Collection as a post. Each slide in your deck plays on your screens as part of the post.
For accepted file formats and size limits, see Supported File Types for Posts in Collections.
Before You Upload
One presentation per post: Each post can hold one PowerPoint file. A PowerPoint is posted on its own and cannot be combined with images, a PDF, or a video.
Title and text: The post uses your file name as its title, so name your file clearly before uploading. When you add a PowerPoint, the title and text fields and the AI Writing Assistant are hidden, because the post is made up of your slides.
Summary instead of slides: If you would rather show a summary than individual slides, save your presentation as a PDF and add that instead. Arc can then summarize the pages into one post, for PDFs of up to 10 pages.
Uploading a PowerPoint
Open the Collection you want to add the presentation to.
Go to the Posts tab.
Click Add Files and select your .pptx file, or drag the file onto the post editor.
Choose a topic from the dropdown next to Schedule. PowerPoint posts aren't tagged automatically. See Assigning Topics to a PowerPoint Post.
Click Post.
Your presentation then appears under Posts in this collection with a Processing 1 file message while Arc prepares your slides. This may take a minute. When it's ready, the post shows the number of slides and a preview of them.
Assigning Topics to a PowerPoint Post
Topics are not assigned automatically for PowerPoint files. Text posts are tagged for you, but a PowerPoint post shows as Media only until you choose a topic yourself.
You can set a topic for the whole presentation or for individual slides.
Setting a Topic for the Whole Presentation
Go to Posts > Posts in this collection.
Click the topic label on the PowerPoint post.
Search for or select the topic that fits.
This applies the topic to every slide in the presentation.
Setting a Topic for a Single Slide
Click the PowerPoint post to open Post details.
Click the topic dropdown on the slide you want to change.
Search for or select the topic that fits.
This only changes the slide you selected.
For the full list of topics, see Categorizing Posts with Topics.
Hiding Individual Slides
Post details lists every slide in your presentation with its play count, topic, and Hide option.
Click the PowerPoint post to open Post details.
Find the slide you want to hide.
Click Hide.
Hidden slides are greyed out and don't play on your screens. To bring a slide back, click Show.
To hide the whole presentation instead, use the hide option on the post under Posts in this collection.
Scheduling, Boosting, and Previewing
A PowerPoint post can be scheduled, boosted, and previewed just like any other post. See Creating Posts for Your Screens for:
