Getting Started with Arc by ScreenCloud

How to get started with ScreenCloud Arc, covering Collections, posts, Feeds, apps, pairing a screen, Layouts and Themes.

This guide covers the basics of getting content onto your screens: creating a Collection, adding posts, Feeds and apps to it, then pairing a screen to display it.

Create a Collection

Start by creating a Collection, which acts as your team's communication hub. A Collection automatically runs its content on screen, and you can assign one or multiple Collections to a single display.

Create and publish your own posts

Within a Collection, you can create quick posts using AI to generate ready to display content for birthdays, announcements, anniversaries, or any other message. You can also upload images, videos, and documents to enhance your posts and make them screen ready in seconds. See Creating Posts for Your Screens for the full walkthrough.

Connect automated feeds

Connect feeds such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other supported apps to automatically pull content into your Collection. AI filtering tools allow you to control what appears on screen, for example skipping past events or showing only specific types of content. See Connecting Feeds to Your Screens for the full walkthrough.

Add third-party apps

Connect apps like Google Slides, Stocks, and other integrations to display external content on your screens. All connected content flows into your Collection and rotates evenly, giving each item equal screen time. See Adding Apps to Collections and Layouts for the full walkthrough.

You can hide, show, or delete posts and delete apps at any time in your Collection.

Pair a Screen to Start Displaying

To display your Collection, pair a screen from Screens using the pairing code found in the ScreenCloud player app. The app can be installed on a media player, smart TV, or computer. You can also instantly preview your content using the web player at https://web.screencloud.com/. To learn which type of hardware is suitable for a screen pairing, see Hardware for ScreenCloud. For the full picture on pairing and managing your screens, see Pairing and Managing Your Screens.

You can change which Collection displays on a screen anytime in the individual screen's menu or in a Collection's Screen menu.

Design your screen layout

Layouts let you divide your screen into multiple zones. Choose from available layout templates and assign compatible apps, such as Weather or News (via RSS), to each zone. You can also set a background image that appears behind the layout. See Making the Most of Your Screen with Layouts for the full walkthrough.

On the Layout Apps tab under Layouts, you can create apps to use within your Layouts. These apps can be added to any zone except the main zone for a Layout.

Customize the look and feel

Personalize your display using Theme settings, including color options, light or dark mode, and design styles such as circular, angular and more for the main zone and collection layout. See Creating a Theme for Your Screens for the full walkthrough.
