The ScreenCloud Air Quality app displays real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) and Heat Index readings for a selected location on your screens. Use it to show air pollution or extreme heat warnings and keep your audience informed of current environmental conditions.

Setting Up the Air Quality App
You can add the Air Quality app either to a Collection or directly to a Layout.
Adding via a Collection
Go to Collections.
Select the Collection you want to add the app to, or create a new one.
Click the Apps tab, then Add app.
Select Air Quality from the list of apps, then click Create.
Adding via a Layout
Go to Layouts.
Select the Layout, then click the Air Quality tile or the plus sign on the tile.
If this is the first time you're adding an app to Layouts, click +Create.
Configuring the app
Setting | Description |
Name | The name of your Air Quality app instance. |
Use screen location | If enabled, the app uses each screen's own location, set in Screens. |
Location | The location the AQI and Heat Index data is pulled for. Not shown if "Use screen location" is enabled. |
Temperature Unit | Fahrenheit or Celsius. |
Indexes to Display | Air Quality, Heat, or both. |
Click Save once you've configured your settings.

How you get the Air Quality app onto a screen depends on where you added it.
Via a Collection
If you added Air Quality to a Collection, assign that Collection to a screen: open the Collection, select the Screens tab, click Connect a screen, then select the screen you want. See Assigning a Collection to a Screen for more.
Via a Layout
If you added Air Quality directly to a Layout, apply that Layout to a screen instead: go to Screens, select the screen, open its settings panel, then set its Layout to the one containing your Air Quality app. See Applying a Layout to a Screen for more.

FAQ
Can theme colours be applied to the Air Quality app?
No. The colours displayed are selected according to the measurement readings and cannot be changed. To ensure the colours don't clash, the border for the app remains black.
Where does the app pull its data from?
The data is retrieved from Google's Air Quality API.
