Setting Up the Clock App
Clock is a Layout app and cannot be added to a Collection.
Adding via a Layout
Open Layouts from the left-hand menu.
Click the Layout Apps tab at the top of the page.
Find the Clock app (blue icon with a clock face) under Explore Apps for Layouts, or under My Apps if you've used it before.
Click the Clock tile to open it.
Click + Add new app in the top-right corner.
Configuring the app
App Settings
Setting | Description |
Name | The name of your Clock app instance, for example "Lobby Clock." |
Clock Style | Simple, a clean and minimal look; Digital, bold screen-style numbers; or Flip, a classic flip-clock animation. |
Language | English, Spanish (Español), German (Deutsch), French (Français), or Dutch (Nederlands). |
12 hours format | Switches between 12-hour (2:00 PM) and 24-hour (14:00) time. |
Display date | Adds today's date under the time. |
Display seconds | Adds a live, ticking seconds counter. |
Use screen location | If enabled, the app automatically sets the time zone to match each screen's own location, set in Screens. |
Location | Only shown if "Use screen location" is off. The city and region to base the time zone on, for example "Los Angeles, CA." |
Click Save New App. A confirmation message displays: "App instance created successfully." Click Got it to close it.
Showing the Clock App on a Screen
Clock is a Layout app, so it reaches a screen through the Layout it's added to.
Go to Screens and select the screen you want to update.
Open the screen's settings panel.
Adjust its Layout setting to the Layout containing your Clock app.

FAQ
The Clock app is showing the wrong time. Why?
Check that the device or screen you're displaying it on has the correct time, date, and time zone set. The app relies on your device's own settings, so an incorrect device clock will show through.
Can I display multiple time zones at once?
The Clock app shows a single time zone. For multiple time zones at once, use the World Clock app instead.
Will the Clock app keep working if I go offline?
Yes. The app is cached for 10 minutes, so it will keep showing an accurate time even if your screen briefly loses its connection.
Can I change the colour of the Clock app?
Yes, supported with Themes. Applying a Theme to the screen containing your Clock app changes its colours to match.
How long is the Clock app shown for?
Clock is added to a Layout, so it displays for a fixed 12 seconds. See Adding Apps to Collections and Layouts for how display duration works across Collections and Layouts.
