The ScreenCloud Count Up Timer app counts up from a date and time you choose, so you can track how long it's been since an event, such as days since your last workplace incident, directly on your screens.

Setting Up the Count Up Timer App
Count Up Timer is a Layout app and cannot be added to a Collection.
Adding via a Layout
Go to Layouts.
Click the Layout Apps tab.
Find Count Up Timer and click the plus sign on its tile, or click the tile itself then click Create.
Configuring the app
Setting | Description |
Name | The name of your Count Up Timer app instance, for your own reference only. Viewers won't see this. |
Title | Optional headline shown above the timer, for example "Days without incident." Leave blank to show just the numbers. |
Start time | Start the timer now, or count up from a specific date and time in the past. |
Style | Flip, an animated flip-clock display showing Days, Hours, and Minutes, or Minimal, a clean single-number display. |
Choosing when the clock starts
The Start time setting gives you two options:
Start the timer now: keep the dropdown on this option, then click the Start button that appears below it. The timer begins counting from that exact moment.
Select a start date: change the dropdown to this option, then fill in the Start day, Start month, and Start year. You can also add a Start hour and Start minute for extra precision. This is useful for backdating a timer, for example to the actual date of your last incident.
You must either click Start or enter a start date. Otherwise you'll see a message saying "The start time has not been set."
Once your title, start time, and style are set, click Save New App. A confirmation message displays: "App instance created successfully."
Showing the Count Up Timer App on a Screen
Count Up Timer is a Layout app, so it reaches a screen through the Layout it's added to.
Go to Screens and select the screen you want to update.
Open the screen's settings panel.
Adjust its Layout setting to the Layout containing your Count Up Timer app.

FAQ
I can't see the entire title I entered. Why?
To make sure the timer works well across all screen sizes, the Title field is capped at 50 characters.
Why can't I see hours or minutes, only days?
This happens with the Minimal style, which only shows a single unit of time. Choose the Flip style instead if you want to show Days, Hours, and Minutes together.
