The ScreenCloud Microsoft Viva Engage Feed pulls posts from a Viva Engage community and turns them into visually compelling posts on your screens, so internal comms shared in Viva Engage reach your audience without any extra design work.

Generate a Visual Experience for Digital Signage

Create posts within Viva Engage as normal. ScreenCloud automatically generates the design of each post so the information displayed on screen is engaging and attention-grabbing, with no separate design step required.

Reach Deskless and Remote Workers

Generate QR Codes for Links and Documents

The Viva Engage Feed can generate QR codes for links and documents included in a post, so deskless workers can scan them with their mobile devices to access the content directly.

In your Collection:

Once the connection is saved, it's reusable: setting up another Viva Engage feed lets you click Select connection and pick the same account from the list instead of signing in again, or click + Add new account to connect a different one.

For the Collection that has your Microsoft Viva Engage Feed, assign it to a paired screen:

It will play in the Main zone of the screen, provided the screen already has a Layout assigned. If the Collection is already playing on a screen, the Feed shows there automatically; there's no need to repeat this step for every Feed you add to the same Collection.

Once a Viva Engage feed has been saved, the Connection and Selected community fields become locked; they display as read-only and can no longer be changed from the feed's edit screen. Only the AI Instructions can be updated on an existing feed. To connect the feed to a different community or account, you'll need to create a new feed.

Once saved, the feed appears in the Collection's Feeds tab, listed by the community name you selected (for example "All Company"), with its source ("Microsoft Viva Engage") and the date it was added. Click the row's ··· menu for further options.

Connecting requires signing in with a Microsoft account that has access to the Viva Engage community you want to display, and approving the permissions Viva Engage requests during that sign-in.

The Microsoft Viva Engage Feed displays posts from your selected community, automatically formatted for screen. Links and documents included in a post can generate a scannable QR code, giving deskless viewers a way to access that content on their own device.

The Feed can display Text, Image, Video, Document, Link, Poll or Question, and Praise posts. Each post can only contain one piece of content or attachment.

Links, documents, polls or questions, and videos are all converted into a scannable QR code rather than displaying directly on screen. Video specifically doesn't play back; it's treated as an attachment and made accessible with a QR code instead.

A post's title is limited to 50 characters and its content to 150 characters. GIFs larger than 10 to 20 MB may play with reduced quality or fail to render on screen.

Once the Feed is connected, you have several ways to control which Viva Engage posts end up on screen, and to review or adjust them afterwards.

Use AI Instructions to control what comes through from the community before it reaches your screens. Write your own instruction or choose from the built-in templates to rewrite, filter, or translate posts as they arrive. For a Viva Engage community, this could mean:

You can test an instruction against your existing Viva Engage posts before saving it, to see exactly which posts it would show or hide.

From the Collection's Posts view, you can manage individual posts the Feed has already created:

Since the Feed only reads posts from Viva Engage, none of these actions change or remove the original post in Viva Engage, the connection is read-only.

Every post the Feed creates appears in the Collection's Posts view alongside your manual posts, where you can filter the view by Feed of origin to see only the posts pulled in from Viva Engage. Each post also has its own Preview option, so you can check exactly how it'll look on screen before it plays.

Posts created by the Microsoft Viva Engage Feed pick up the Theme applied to the screen they play on, including its light or dark mode. See Creating a Theme for Your Screens for how to customize the look of your posts.
