Setting Up the Awardco Feed
Adding the Feed to a Collection
In your Collection:
Click the Feeds tab, then Add New Feed.
Select Awardco from the list of sources.
Click Add connection, enter your Awardco API key (see Awardco Account Requirements below), and give the connection a name.
If your API key has a filter field configured, such as Department, Location, or Job Title, select which values to include, or choose No filter to show recognition posts from all of them.
Optional: add an AI instruction to shape how incoming posts are handled.
Once everything's filled in, click Save new feed.
Each feed connects to a single API key. If you want to show recognition posts using a different key, or a different filter setup, set up a separate feed — see Single Source Limit in Connecting Feeds to Your Screens.
Editing a Saved Feed
Once an Awardco feed has been saved, the API key can't be changed from the feed's edit screen. To connect a different key, create a new feed instead.
If you change the filter or other settings for this API key directly in Awardco, you'll need to reconnect the feed with the same key for those changes to take effect.
Adding to a Screen
For the Collection that has your Awardco Feed, assign it to a paired screen:
Open your Collection and select the Screens tab.
Click Connect a screen, and select the paired screen you want to display it on.
It will play in the Main zone of the screen, provided the screen already has a Layout assigned.

Awardco Account Requirements to Connect to ScreenCloud
Connecting doesn't use a login. Instead, you'll need an API key from Awardco. Reach out to Awardco's support team to have one issued.
Optional: before generating your key, Awardco can configure it to filter recognition posts by one field, such as Department, Location, or Job Title, and to show up to two additional labels alongside each post, for example displaying an employee's job title and department even if the feed is filtered by Location. See Awardco's guide on setting up a custom feed API to configure this.
A post's visibility in Awardco must be set to Everyone for it to display through the Feed. Posts with restricted visibility won't come through.
What Content Does the Feed Pull from Your Awardco Account?
The Feed displays recognition posts from your connected Awardco account, filtered according to how your API key is configured.
What displays
The recognition post's main text.
Any configured labels, such as an employee's job title or department.
Images and GIFs attached to the post.
What doesn't display
Awardco's Program Name field isn't shown. Tags and reactions on a recognition post also aren't displayed.
Managing What Shows on Screen
Once the Feed is connected, you have several ways to control which recognition posts end up on screen, and to review or adjust them afterwards.
Filtering Incoming Posts with AI Instructions
Use AI Instructions to control what comes through before it reaches your screens, in addition to any filter already applied to your API key. Write your own instruction or choose from the built-in templates to rewrite, filter, or translate posts as they arrive. For an Awardco feed, this could mean:
"Only show recognition posts that mention a specific team or department."
"Filter out posts that don't include an attached image."
"Summarize long recognition messages into a single screen-friendly line."
"Translate incoming posts from English to Spanish."
You can test an instruction against your existing Awardco posts before saving it, to see exactly which posts it would show or hide.
Managing Posts After They've Arrived
From the Collection's Posts view, you can manage individual posts the Feed has already created:
Hide a post to temporarily remove it from rotation without deleting it.
Show a hidden post again to bring it back into rotation.
Delete a post to remove it permanently.
Since the Feed only reads posts from Awardco, none of these actions change or remove the original recognition post in Awardco, the connection is read-only.
Finding and Previewing Feed Posts
Every post the Feed creates appears in the Collection's Posts view alongside your manual posts, where you can filter the view by Feed of origin to see only the posts pulled in from Awardco. Each post also has its own Preview option, so you can check exactly how it'll look on screen before it plays.

Changing How Your Feed Appears on Screen

Yes. Each feed uses a single API key, so set up a separate feed for each additional key or filter configuration you want to show.
